How much does it cost to get into the carnival?

Nought, nada, nothing! The Ballarat Food Truck Carnival is a FREE event, with free entry and entertainment.

How many food trucks will be attending and what will they offer?

Bring your appetite! There will be on average 20+ food trucks on site each day serving food from around the world, including a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free dishes.

Where's the best place to park?

Food Truck Carnival Co. encourages responsible drinking and suggest that where possible you use public transport or taxi to get to and from the carnival. If you need to park your car there are plenty of free parking spots within walking distance of the event.

I have limited mobility, where's the best place to park?

Parking for people with limited mobility is available in the event carpark. Parking is limited and vehicles must display an authorized disability permit at all times.

Is there public transport nearby?

The Wendouree station is a leisurely 10-15 minute walk or short tram ride from the showgrounds . All trains run frequently. To plan your trip to the Ballarat Food Truck Carnival with V/Line please visit their website.

Will alcohol be sold at the event?

Our whole carnival area is fully licenced so feel free to grab a beer, wine or cocktail and enjoy the festivities. Please note children not accompanied by an adult can not enter the carnival grounds.

Do I need to bring cash or can I Tap&Go?

Our bar and food trucks (with a very small exception) all accept cash and card.

Can I withdraw money at the event?

There will be some ATMs on site however we encourage you to bring cash or Tap&Go to avoid unnecessary lines!

How much seating is available?

We have tables and chairs for about 600 with additional seating available in the pop-up bars. There is also an open area for those who wish to bring along a picnic blanket.

Will there be any activities for kids?

Yes! Our kids carnival will run through the duration of the event along with other kids activities. Although the Kids Carnival is free to enter, rides will incur a fee.

Who is your charity partner for this event?

There will be donation tins and buckets set up around the Carnival to help support our local charity partner. If you can afford to do so then please give generously.

Can I bring my dog?

We love our dogs as much as you do however unfortunately they must be left at home for this event.

Is there first aid on site?

First aid will be onsite throughout the duration of the event. In case of an emergency or for first aid assistance, please notify a staff or security member, or head directly to the first aid tent.
