Where is the carnival being held?
How can I avoid the lines?
If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere then try to avoid the peak times around lunch and dinner time.
Will alcohol be sold at the event?
The whole carnival is licensed so feel free to grab a beer, wine or cocktail and enjoy the festivities.
Be sure to bring your ID if you would like to purchase an alcoholic beverage. Please note children not accompanied by an adult can not enter the carnival grounds.
Where's the best place to park?
There is over 450 car spots available in the Federation Uni carpark next to Buchanan Park (entry from Clyde Road). There is a small $2 fee to park.
There is limited parking so if you are driving please consider using public transport where possible.
I have limited mobility, where's the best place to park?
Disabled parking is available next to the event entry gate.
Is there public transport nearby?
Berwick train station is a short 5-10 min walk away and there is a bus line that goes directly past Buchanan Park.
Do I need to bring cash or can I Tap&Go?
Our bar and food trucks (with a very small exception) are all Tap&Go and we encourage you to use this payment method to help speed things along! If you need access to cash there are ATMs on site.
How much seating is available?
We will have plenty of shade and seating on site but we also encourage you to bring your picnic rug and find a space on the grass to enjoy your food and a glass of wine.
Can I bring my dog?
We love our pets as much as you however we ask that you leave your furry friends at home for this event.
How many food trucks will be attending and what will they offer?
Bring your appetite! There will be on average more than 20 food trucks on site each day serving food from around the world, including a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free dishes.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
If you don’t want your alcohol confiscated and disposed of please leave it at home.
Who is welcome at the carnival?
This an event for everyone, both young and old so be sure to bring a great attitude and most importantly your smile.
